Nate's FIRST letter home!

Dear Mom and Dad,
Hey! Wow, this is crazy here. At first I didn't know what was going on but it got better, of course. My companion is way sweet, (Elder Eyres). I got really lucky. In case you don't already know this is my first day I'm talking about. I'm a little nervous about tomorrow, everyone says its a really long day but its all good, I'm ready for it! I can already tell this is going to be the best experience so far in my life. I love you guys and I'm more grateful now for your example than I have ever been before. I love you guys. Tell everyone else "Hi" cause I only have time for one letter tonight.
Love, Elder Randall

The first letter...now all of the firsts instead of the lasts that you have been experiencing. You will have a new love-hate relationship with the mailbox now! Love your blog look! Hugs!

Yeah I'm so glad he wrote! Its funny that in this day and age there is a time when you write a letter vs. email or the phone. It's good to hear from him and that his spirits are good. Thanks for sharing! Love ya!

Why did I just now realize you had a blog? Tell Nate that the MTC get's a bad rap. I personally thought the MTC was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had (and if the MTC is hard... the mission field doesn't get any easier!) He sure is a cutie and he will be an awesome missionary! Can't wait to hear more updates... I'll need to get his contact info from you so we can write him. p.s. your yard and everything looked beautiful for the farewell!

Yay! I finally stalked my way on to your blog. First, my mom told me that you were the one who got me the xango juice, it is so wonderful! Thank you so much, you are too sweet, I really think it will be so good for me (and for my husband if I can trick him into drinking it daily, hehe). And second, how cute is the whole cousin's camp?? I swear the things you ladies come up with and put effort into just amaze me. And last but not least, look at you very proud parents! It is so exciting to have Nate out and serving the Lord. I just love your family so much! Hope all is well, post often!

YAY! He sounds a like he got lucky with his companion. I have to admit I cried when I read it. But a good cry! :)

I could hear Nate's voice in that letter:) He is "equal to this task" (a phrase I've borrowed from Lauren) and he is because you've prepared him well. I got his thank you in the mail yesterday, and Ed put his picture on the bookshelf.
I was thinking of you all day today, I hope all went well with your foot surgery,
love you!
